Bonny Martial Ayebare

Mr. Ayebare holds a Professional Master’s degree (Master 2 Pro) in French Language teaching from the University of Clermont-Ferrand, France. He is an examiner of the International French Language examinations (DELF/DALF) and an accredited trainer of examiners of the DELF/DALF examinations. He is the only Ugandan with this accreditation, given by the French Ministry of Education. He is also a sworn/certified translator (French/English).

As a youth leader during his student days, Mr. Ayebare participated actively in organizing intercontinental youth meetings including the European meetings in Paris, France (2002) and Hamburg, Germany (2003).

Mr. Boniface Ayebare currently works with Institut Français (French Institute), the French government organ that promotes the French language across the world. He is posted at the Juba branch, based at the University of Juba, South Sudan’s biggest public University where he also doubles as Head of Department, French language. He is also a Director at EASIT LANGUAGE CENTRE, a regional language firm operating in South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Mr. Ayebare previously worked at the Taizé Community in France as Head of working groups, Makerere University Kampala as Teaching Assistant in French Language, African Judicial Network as Executive Secretary, Jump TV International as Regional Manager for Africa & French Speaking Caribbean. He has also executed several research and translation contracts internationally.

In December 2016, Mr. Ayebare received special recognition from the French government for his distinguished service and was awarded/decorated with the prestigious Knight medal in the Order of Academic Palms (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques).
