Donald Maasa is a student of Law at Makerere University. He has previously served as Council Director of the Makerere Debating Union and Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs in the Makerere University Students Guild. .
He has represented Makerere University at the National Universities Debate Championships and the Action for Development (ACFODE) Inter-Institutional Debate Championship. In 2012, he won a scholarship to represent Makerere University at the World Universities Debate Championships (WUDC) in Berlin, Germany.
He has also represented Makerere University at a number of international moot court competitions, including the African Human Rights Moot Court Competition, the All Africa International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition, the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, the African Court Moot Court Competition, the Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition and the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
